2024 Edenesque GTR

This wine was made as a tiny batch from fruit grown on the last remaining Gewürztraminer and Riesling vines on the property.

The aroma bursts with lychee, pink musk and fresh pears. Underneath this are notes of honeysuckle, white Christmas lily and flinty orange sherbet.

The aromatic notes continue on the palate with green apples, stewed pears and vanilla ice cream. Chalky phenolics lend some textural elements with crisp Riesling-like acidity. The finish is mouthwatering with blood orange and stewed pear.

2024 Edenesque GTR

The Kellybrook vineyard has long been planted to the aromatic varieties Gewürztraminer and Riesling; a rare occurrence in the Yarra Valley. This wine is a blend of 53% Gewürztraminer and 47% Riesling.

Both varieties were hand picked and fermented separately. Both varieties saw different amounts of skin contact prior to pressing, where the Riesling saw three days, the Gewürztraminer saw seven. After pressing, the juices were combined and fermented together. Only 1 barrique was made of this wine (20 dozen).

This dry wine is lingering and refreshing, intended to be enjoyed young. Try it with jalapeno salmon and lime over a bed of asparagus. Serve chilled.
