2024 Full Moon Chardonnay

Made at Kellybrook with fruit sourced from the Full Moon vineyard - a small and very special vineyard in Gladysdale (Upper Yarra Valley) planted and tended by Simon Harte.

Aromas and flavours of peach, nougat, citrus and faint struck match. The palate is poised and creamy, nicely balanced with focussed acidity, finishing with lovely texture and length.

Whole bunch pressed, fermented in French oak (20% new) with a little malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity of the cool season and build mouthfeel. Matured for 9 months in barrel.

1200 bottles produced (two barrels)

2024 Full Moon Chardonnay

"Fruit sourced from the Full Moon vineyard in Gladysdale (Upper Yarra). Brightly coloured. This is a little more closed at this stage than the Siwa Chardonnay from their home block. The bouquet is chalky and saline while the medium-bodied palate is taut and linear. There's a lot to like here, but it will need another six to 12 months to slowly unfurl and reveal itself."
