DETAILS BELOW ARE FOR THE 2011 FESTIVAL. INFORMATION FOR OUR NEXT FESTIVAL (SATURDAY 5TH AND SUNDAY 6TH MAY 2012) WILL BE POSTED EARLY IN 2012.

LAST YEAR'S FESTIVAL INFORMATION
Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2011
11am - 5pm both days

Join the fun at the 23rd Cider Festival:

  • Apple Crushing
  • Cider Making Demonstrations by the Kelly cider-makers
  • Scrumpy (Bring containers or buy ours') - traditional rustic farmhouse cider $5.00 per litre 
  • Sparkling Draught Cider on tap (including Somerset Draught, pear cider and our new non-alcoholic cider)
  • Fabulous Fresh Apple Juice (Pressed on the day) Bring containers or buy ours’. $3.00 per litre
  • Food marquee - lamb and barley soup, roasted chicken roll, hot BBQ pork roll, pork and Kelly Brothers cider sausages, Boscastle pies, hot chips, home-baked desserts including apple pies and cinnamon apple donuts  
  • Champagne Cider and Mulled Cider
  • Great coffee
  • Toffee apples – made fresh on the spot
  • Tasting & Sales of ciders and wines (don't forget Mothers' Day the next week - why not buy your Mum some wine, Champagne cider or our Gold-medal winning Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay 2008 - we can even send it to her)

RESTAURANT OPEN both days - early bookings and late bookings. 2 course set price menu - $40.00. Pre-booked tables will have their entry fee to the festival waived. Bookings essential. Enjoy the festival as a VIP.  NOTE: AT THIS STAGE, THE RESTAURANT IS FULLY BOOKED FOR THE FESTIVAL WEEKEND.

ENTREES
House-smoked ocean trout, black pepper creme fraiche, salted tomato and apple salad
Beetroot carpaccio, cider jelly, pistachio, Persian feta, apple balsamic
Duck liver pate, dried apple and ginger chutney, cornichons, homemade sourdough croutons
MAIN COURSES
Pan-fried gnocchi, roasted walnuts, apple and grilled radicchio salad, blue cheese cream, walnut oil
Slow-cooked pork belly, apple and parsnip puree, smoked bacon jus, parsnip crisps and herb salad
Roasted market fish, zucchini noodles, olive and mint tapenade, carrot-cider beurre blanc
DESSERTS
Kennedy and Wilson chocolate terrine, dried fig and sweet cider, port icecream
Spiced apple crepe, vanilla icecream, apple brandy caramel
Maffra cheddar, homemade fruit toasts, apple puree and walnuts

  • 2011 Admission Adults $8.00  Children Free (14 years and under)
  • Apples for sale - new season's, Yarra Valley, unwaxed (fill up a bag)
  • No picnics or BYO food or alcohol allowed 
  • Dogs must be on leashes at all times
  • Groups of 30 or more - please let us know you are coming. You can even talk to us about pre-paying to make things simpler on the day.
  • Join our Cellar Club on the day to go into the draw to win a case of Kellybrook wines and ciders (mixed dozen). For existing cellar club members, update your details and and you will enter the draw also. You'll then receive notification of our any discounts and special offers by email.
  • NB There are no ATM facilities at Kellybrook. EFTPOS, cash and credit card in cellar door and restaurant. Cash only for ciders on tap, juice and in the food marquee.

    OR From Maroondah Highway, Croydon, turn into Yarra Road (Kellybrook Winery is signposted here), turn immediate right (continuation of Yarra Road), continue for approximately 8 kilometres to the very end of Yarra Road, then right, then immediate left into Dudley Road (at The Jump Inn Cafe), drive past Wonga Park Primary School, turn right into Fulford Road.

    OR from Ringwood-Warrandyte Road, Warrandyte, turn into Jumping Creek Road (at Warran Glen Nursery), continue to the traffic islands in Wonga Park (approx 5 kilometres), turn left into Dudley Road and then right into Fulford Road.
